The Cardiff Farmers Market recently announced a special community event, “Create Cards for Veterans,” which will take place on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. This heartfelt event invites market-goers of all ages to show their gratitude and support for veterans by creating personalized cards, which will be delivered to local veterans’ organizations in time for Veterans Day.
The event will be held in the market’s family-friendly space, where materials will be provided for participants to write messages, draw pictures, and craft cards that express appreciation for the men and women who have served in the armed forces. Volunteers will be on hand to assist, ensuring everyone can take part in this meaningful gesture.
“The ‘Create Cards for Veterans’ event is an opportunity for our community to come together and thank the veterans who have sacrificed so much for our freedom,” said Sherri Reynolds, manager of the Cardiff Farmers Market, in a news release. “We are honored to be able to provide a space where people of all ages can participate in this simple but impactful act of kindness.”
All completed cards will be delivered to local veterans’ organizations in time for Veterans Day, ensuring that the messages of gratitude and support reach the hands of those who have served. In addition to the card-making station, the market will feature its usual array of local vendors offering fresh, seasonal produce, artisanal products, and ready-to-eat treats. Visitors can enjoy a day of shopping, dining, and contributing to a cause that matters.
