Re California regulator OKs stricter clean air standards. What will it mean for gas prices? (Nov. 8): At a time when many families in California are finally looking forward to less inflation and thus a lower price for gasoline, on Friday, the California Air Resources Board approved updates to its rules that are expected to raise retail gasoline prices by 65 cents per gallon in the near term. Are board members purposely trying to harm the non-EV driving little guys, many of whom are living paycheck to paycheck and must drive long distances to-and-from work?
