Re San Diego has put off $1 billion in routine building maintenance, audit says (Nov. 9): This article made it very clear San Diegos ignorant city government policy on maintaining its properties is both foolish and costly. Lets not forget perhaps the greatest and most damaging example of this negligence: Qualcomm Stadium, which was allowed to deteriorate so badly it resulted in the Chargers demand for a new stadium, their eventual departure from San Diego and the NFL being without its favorite Super Bowl host city.
