The La Jolla Village Merchants Association’s “Creepy Candy Crawl” returned with a Halloween celebration of candy and costumes.

Merchants at decorated businesses across The Village started the event at 3 p.m. Oct. 31, handing out goodies to trick-or-treaters.

The festivities culminated in a costume contest in which four judges chose the most creative outfits.
