Coffee & Conversation is a beloved monthly event, and in November you can meet Fred Grand, a proud member of the Kumeyaay Indigenous Nation. Coffee & Conversation, The Kumeyaay of San Diego, Our First People—Nov. 21

Fred Grand, a proud member of the Kumeyaay Indigenous Nation of San Diego, is the author of Spilled Blood and Bloodlines, which brings Southern California’s colorful past to life with stories spanning four periods: the First People, the Spanish Period, the Mexican Period, and the American Period and Native Sovereignty. Come to the library for Coffee & Conversation with Fred, on Thursday, Nov. 21, at 11 a.m.

Art Display, “Local Landscapes”—Through Nov. 22

The Rancho Santa Fe Art Guild hosts a new art display, “Local Landscapes.” See it now in the Media Room at the Rancho Santa Fe Library.

Meditation and Mindfulness—Wednesdays in November

Discover simple, effective ways to reduce stress and bring balance and happiness into your life. This special program is limited to 20 participants and advance sign-up is required. Call the library at (858) 756-2512, or stop by to register for your Wednesday sessions, which start at 10 a.m.

Chair Yoga—Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 a.m.

Sign up is required as space is limited to 20 people.

American Flag Drop Off

If it’s time to retire your American Flag, please drop it off at the library. There is a drop box and your flag will be treated with respect.

Battery Drop Off at Library

The Rancho Santa Fe Library is a safe place to dispose of small batteries, including A, AA, AAA, C, lithium (with taped covered ends), cell phone and other small batteries. Do your part to stop pollution by bringing this toxic trash to the library. The drop-off program is in partnership with Universal Waste.

Seeds and Sustainability

The Rancho Santa Fe Library is a seed library too! Come by to pick up two free seed varieties that you can take home and plant.
