In the San Dieguito Union High School District Area 4, incumbent Michael Allman is leading challenger and political campaign consultant Kevin Sabellico with currently 52.59% of the vote, or 6,574 votes to Sabellico’s 5,926.

The Area 4 seat represents the communities of Del Mar, Carmel Valley and Rancho Santa Fe.

The race is tighter in Area 2 with Encinitas Union School District board member Jodie Williams currently leading with 50.40% and Kelly Friis, parent and finance professional, closely behind her at 49.60%—just 112 votes separating the two.

Area 2 represents Encinitas and Carlsbad on the school board.

In the Del Mar Union School District election, the incumbent president Gee Wah Mok leads the race with the most votes, while his running mate Bill Porter, a retired educator, currently carries 29.9% to fill the second available seat. Candidate Danielle Roybal, who finished fourth behind the three incumbents in the 2022 election, trails with 21%.

The appointed incumbent Alan Kholos will retain his short-term seat on the Del Mar Union School District board earning 68.30% of the vote over challenger Genevieve Okada Goldstone. Kholos, a corporate attorney and biotech executive, will serve a two-year term through 2026.
