The 18th Annual Sean Eduardo Sanchez (SES) Tennis Center fundraising Pro-Am tennis tournament was held Oct. 20 at Rancho Valencia Resort & Spa. A total of 48 players competed in the event, with amateurs paying a donation entry fee in three separate divisions (women’s division, men’s division and open division), and partnering with local tennis professionals to vie for the championship in each division.

This year, the tournament achieved its fundraising goal with proceeds to benefit the children enrolled in the SES Tennis Center located in Tecate, Mexico, a California-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, which provides access to tennis lessons, tennis equipment, and cross-border tournament transportation. The event also supported the efforts of the Empty Cradle, a San Diego nonprofit organization that helps parents cope with the loss of an infant before, during or after birth.
