There are many locations for voting both on Election Day and in advance in order to make it an easy and convenient process.

The Presidential General Election is Tuesday, Nov. 5.

The Registrar of Voters office has installed official ballot drop boxes at several locations countywide, including in Pacific Beach. Voters can drop their ballots at any official location countywide. Ballots are to be placed inside their sealed and signed envelopes.

In Pacific Beach, the ballot drop box is at the Pacific Beach/Taylor Library, 4275 Cass St. It has a drop box outside, so it is available 24 hours a day until closing at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5.

For those who want to cast a ballot in person at a vote center, there are many of those in the immediate area as well that will not only be open on Election Day but in the days preceding. Voters may go to any voting center countywide.

At a vote center they can drop off a voted ballot or vote in person by using a touchscreen ballot marking device. These are fully accessible to allow voters with disabilities to vote independently and privately. Voters may also want to visit a vote center if they made a mistake on their ballot or lost the one sent to them. Voting assistance in multiple languages will be available and people can also register to vote or update their registration and vote on the same day, according to the Registrar of Voters.

In Pacific Beach there are four vote centers.

• The Pacific Beach/Taylor Library is open now through Nov. 4 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Tuesday, Nov. 5 the hours will be 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The remaining vote centers will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2 to Monday, Nov. 4 and 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5. They are:

• Mission Bay High School auditorium foyer, 2475 Grand Ave.

• Pacific Beach Recreation Center craft room, 1405 Diamond St.

• Wesley Palms auditorium, 2404 Loring St.

Ballots may also be returned in their signed and sealed envelopes through the U.S. Postal Service, but they must be postmarked by Nov. 5, so check the postal box pickup times to make sure it will be postmarked by the deadline.
