After running unopposed in the election, Tanya Koshy will fill the school board seat vacated by long-serving trustee Julie Union. Koshy, a dedicated parent volunteer and board member of the Solana Beach Schools Foundation, will be sworn in at the boards December organizational meeting, according to a news release.

Koshy holds a bachelors degree from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from Northwestern University. She worked in the tech industry while remaining involved in the Solana Beach school community through her volunteer work and participation in the Solana Beach Schools Foundation.
