Both Padres teenagers will represent the team in Saturday’s Fall Stars Game.

Leodalis De Vries won the National Leagues fan vote, and will be included on the roster alongside fellow Padres prospects Ethan Salas and Romeo Sanabria. First pitch is at 5 p.m. Saturday at Sloan Park in Mesa, Ariz.

A catcher, the 18-year-old Salas is tied for third in the Arizona Fall League with 19 RBIs. He has three homers and a .256/.366/.449 batting line in 20 games for Peoria.

De Vries, also 18, is hitting .196/.288/.304 with eight RBIs and three steals. But De Vries, a shortstop who turned 18 in October, also has a home run as the youngest player to homer in the Arizona Fall League since Bryce Harper in 2010.

Salas and De Vries are ranked No. 1 and No. 2 in the Padres system, respectively, by MLB.com, while Sanabria — a first baseman — is 23rd. Salas is No. 19 in MLB.com’s top-100 and De Vries is No. 28.

Salas paired four homers with 53 RBIs and a .206/.288/.311 batting line in 2024 at high Single-A Fort Wayne, his first full season in pro ball. He debuted in 2023 as a 16-year-old at low Single-A Lake Elsinore in late May after signing out of Venezuela the previous January.

De Vries, who signed in January out of the Dominican Republic, was 17 when he debuted in mid-April at Lake Elsinore. The switch-hitter batted .237/.361/.441 with 11 homers, 38 RBIs and 13 steals in 75 games.

The 22-year-old Sanabria is hitting .260/.351/.320 with four RBIs in 13 games in the Arizona Fall League. He hit .288/.396/.427 with 11 homers and 78 RBIs in 125 games split between Lake Elsinore, Fort Wayne and Double-A San Antonio. The Padres took Sanabria with their 18th-round pick in 2022 out of Indian River State Junior College.
