La Jolla veterans memorial remembers ‘The Forgotten War’ + ' Main Photo'

The Mount Soledad National Veterans Memorial in La Jolla commemorated Veterans Day by honoring American and South Korean veterans of the Korean War, also known as The Forgotten War.”

The ceremony Nov. 9 celebrated those who served from 1950 to 1953. The event featured a flyover, an exchange of gifts, retired Army Maj. Gen. Mark MacCarley, and Youngwan Kim, consul general of the Republic of Korea in Los Angeles.
