Person dies in fall at UCSDs Geisel Library

UC San Diegos Geisel Library reopened the day after an unidentified person died in a fall from the librarys eighth-floor stairwell Nov. 6, the Triton campus newspaper reported.

The fall happened at about 11:35 a.m., according to the Triton, and campus police and library workers closed the library and evacuated patrons.

The university said the case posed no threat to the campus community.

UCSDs Counseling and Psychological Services office was accepting walk-in appointments in light of the death, the campus newspaper reported.
