Listen to the music of Buenos Aires when Camarada performs a free concert hosted by Christ Lutheran Church in Pacific Beach.
“Tango Buenos Aires” will feature a rich Latin repertoire that focuses on several famous tango composers, including Eduardo Rovira, Pedro Maffia, Anibal Troillo and Astor Piazzolla. It will also feature commissioned original works and arrangements by Andrès Martin.
The concert will start at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10 in the church at 4761 Cass St. Admission is free, but reservations are requested at bit.ly/4euMTRl. Seating is on a first-come basis.
Attendees are advised to park in the lots off Chalcedony Street — one adjacent to the church and another across the street, north of the church. There is also free street parking.
This is Camarada’s 30th year of presenting chamber music concerts, engaging diverse audiences through visionary and educational programming, and igniting a connection between the audience, artists and music, officials said.
Its musicians are flutist Beth Ross Buckley (the ensemble’s founder and artistic director), violinist David Buckley, double bassist and composer Andrès Martin and pianist Dana Burnett.
