A driver has left extensive damage to a Chino familys living room after flying off the road and crashing into the second story of their home
Andrea Kobzeff and her husband were downstairs Monday night when they felt the impact of the car crashing into their house on Medford Court. They said it felt as if it was a plane crashing into their home.
Kids do like to do donuts back there, Kobzeff said. So we heard a lot of that.
The Mustang was southbound on San Antonio Avenue when it struck a curb and the concrete side of a drainage canal. The car went airborne, ripped through a fence and crashed into the second floor of the home. It came to rest on a patio cover, police said.
Video footage of the scene showed the vehicle lodged into the second story of the home before it was removed by a crane.
The 21-year-old driver was hospitalized with serious injuries. Three passengers, a 19-year-old and two minors, also were hospitalized, but details about their injuries were not immediately available.
No residents were injured.
In a news release, police said alcohol might have been a factor in the crash.
